The Benefits of Using Assignment Examples

The academic life is full of school works and activities. In addition to daily school works, professors also give assignments. These assignments may be submitted before a certain deadline, the next day or the next week, depending on the difficulties and the intricacy of the given assignment. The may be assigned to write military essays on the mistakes of the Japanese government in the Battle of Guadalcanal, or a written review of "The Merchant of Venice."

Some students, however, find it difficult to write an essay or a review for many reasons. One reason is their lack of interest in the topic. Second is their lack of knowledge of the given topic. Third is the unfamiliarity of the writing style or format of a given piece. The third reason is becoming more prevalent today; especially that many compose their assignments without knowing what to put and how to write.

The third reason can be solved by looking at assignment examples. If a student has no idea what a dissertation is like, he may acquire copies of other dissertation from a friend, a schoolmate or from the school library. He may compare the examples and note how they are similar to each other.
He may also take note of the formatting of the paper, how it is structured and printed. A student may also take note of the page numbering, paragraph style, fonts, text spacing and references.

Different coursework types also require different formatting from different authorities. A professor may instruct his student to use the Harvard system of referencing, but a student does not know what it is and how it is used in a paper. The student may go to the library and borrow some papers that use Harvard system of referencing and use them as assignment examples. He could use the examples as a guide when creating references using the Harvard system.

If a student has no idea what to write in his thesis, he could also assignment examples as references and guides. He may take note of how the thesis statement was developed and how the body was written to answer particular questions.

A student who has essay or dissertation examples must take care not to commit a grave mistake in assignment writing -- plagiarism. The examples are just guides and references, not materials for copy and paste. One should use other's works only as examples.

Most students especially those who are still in the elementary or even in the secondary level find it hard to write essays since they don't know how to tackle essays yet. I have create a website called www.MyEssaySearch.com to give students some ideas as to how to approach with some essay writing projects.
